The Dog House is steeped in history and was once well known as the Horseshoe Inn. A large fireplace beckons you to warm yourself on Winter nights. Enjoy the atmosphere that lends itself perfectly to hearty conversation over a pint or two. During the warmer months you can take advantage of the large Beer Garden. Stroll for less than a kilometer and take in the views of the Lighthouse at Nash Point. We are proud to use local produce as much as possible and cook freshly prepared food for our customers to enjoy.

Our History
The closure of the Horseshoe Inn two years ago left a noticeable void in the community. Now, following an extensive refurbishment that honours the pub's heritage while introducing modern comforts, the stage is set for a grand return when it opens it's doors, early 2026.
The new owners have been working hard behind the scenes to give the pub a new lease of life, ensuring it remains the warm, inviting social hub the community remembers.
"The support and anticipation from the locals have been incredible," said Catherine Jenkins, the new owner. "We know how much this pub means to the community, and we've put our heart and soul into bringing it back to life. Our vision is to create a space that offers something for everyone, whether it's a quiet pint, a great meal, or a lively weekend gathering. We can't wait to see those familiar faces and make new memories together."
